Libris förvärvsrutin för leverantörer

Libris förvärvsrutin är en generell modell som möjliggör för medieleverantörer att utveckla förvärvsrutiner kopplade till Libris.

  • De medie- eller bokleverantörer som ansluter sig och utvecklar stöd för rutinen kan erbjuda biblioteken automatisk hantering av metadata i samband med köp av böcker eller andra medier.

    Observera att rutinen endast är tillgänglig för de bibliotek som tecknat överenskommelse med KB om att visa och underhålla sitt bestånd i Libris (så kallade registrerande Librisbibliotek). Leverantören ska anmäla nya bibliotekskunder (biblioteksnamn, Librissigel, e-postadress till bibliotekets kontaktperson) till Libris kundservice.

    Då ett bibliotek köper en bok kan leverantören skicka metadata (bibliografisk post och beståndspost) till Libris där det behandlas, matchas på ISBN och läses in i Librisdatabasen. Denna metadata blir efter en beställning tillgänglig för bibliotekens lokala system via Libris reguljära exportrutiner. Inläsning i Libris följs upp av ett automatiskt e-postmeddelande till bibliotekets kontaktperson.

  • The Libris Division at the National Library of Sweden (KB) provides a general model for Book suppliers that want to adjust their acquisition services to a work flow connected to Libris. Book suppliers that are signing an agreement with KB and develop support for the service can offer their custom libraries automatic management of metadata in connection with ordering of books and other media.

    When a library orders/buys a book, the book supplier can deliver metadata (bibliographic record with attached holdings record) to Libris where it is received, matched on ISBN and loaded into the Libris database. The metadata will be transferred to the ordering libraries’ local system via Libris’ ordinary exchange routines the day after it has been delivered to Libris. The loading into Libris is also followed up by an automatic e-mail message to the ordering library.
