Libris
Find materials in one place from around 600 Swedish libraries.
Libris is a national search service with information about titles in about 600 Swedish libraries, including the National library. With Libris you can find what you are looking for at a library near you. The search service contains almost 13 million items: books, journals, images, maps, notes, e-books and more.
Libris also contains digital material that is free to access from home.
How to use Libris

A simple search will give you hits from all the libraries in the catalog. You can use the My libraries link to specify libraries that you are particularly interested in.
Then limit the search to these libraries only by checking the box next to the search field.

After a search, you can filter the hits in the right-hand column Refine your search. For example, click on the type of material, author or language to show only hits that match your selection.
You can also perform a more advanced search by clicking on the tab labeled Extended search.
You can then search in several fields at once, including title, author, year of publication and publisher.

The Browse by subject tab (Bläddra ämnesvis) allows you to browse for material in a particular subject area.

From each record in Libris, you can create a reference to your academic paper or thesis. Click on the Cite button.
You can then save the reference as a file, or copy it directly from the website.

Libris contains lots of sources that you can access from home. If you see the button with the text See full image below the material you have searched for – click to access it directly!
You can also choose to search only electronic and digitised material. You can find this function under the tab Extended search. There you can choose the e-resources you are interested in: e-books, e-journals, e-articles/chapters and others (digitised images, manuscripts, maps, etc.).
Much of what is digitised and e-articles/chapters can be accessed freely. However, most e-books require a library card.
