Internet connection and Wi-Fi

At the National Library, you have access to free Wi‑Fi through the library’s own wireless network. If you are a student, you can also connect via your institution’s eduroam service.

All visitors to the National Library's premises have free access to the KB-Wifi-Free wireless network. No login is required, but you must accept the terms and conditions to connect.

Please note that you cannot access our licensed databases via KB-Wifi-Free. To do so, you need to connect to our public network, KBpublik, using your library card.

For students, there is eduroam

As a student, you can also connect to eduroam via your educational institution. Eduroam is an international Wi-Fi network that is also available at the National Library. Here you will find instructions on how to get started with eduroam. External link.

About eduroam

Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) is an international collaboration between universities and higher education institutions. The service allows students and staff to use each other’s wireless networks.

If your university is connected to eduroam, you can log in to the National Library's wireless network using the same username you use at your home university.

In Sweden, eduroam is part of the SWAMID identity federation. On the SWAMID website External link. you can find information about how universities and higher education institutions can join eduroam and how the service is organised in Sweden.
