The Main Reading Room
The Main Reading Room is on the entrance floor, which is floor 5. It is for those who order and study the National Library's material.
Here you can read the material you pick up at the Information and Loans Desk. These are mainly Swedish books, brochures and periodicals printed after 1829, but also foreign periodicals and books printed before 1900.
Parts of the reference library are also located in the Main Reading Room. It is a quiet reading room. It has 98 seats and is the most polular reading room at the National Library. Seats cannot be reserved. Please note that you may be asked to give up your seat if you are not studying the Library's material.
