  • Some are available as digital copies that you can download yourself directly in the services.
  • Some material you need to request by using the form below. Please tell us why you want to access it. We can often help you find more relevant material than what is visible in the services.
    
• The Portrait Catalogue External link, opens in new window. is a digitized alphabetical card catalogue that shows in which of the portrait collections a person is represented. Read about how to use the catalogue (in Swedish).
• Pictures included in the 17th century work Suecia Antiqua et Hodierna can be searched and downloaded in a special database called Suecian External link, opens in new window..

If you cannot find the picture or photograph you are looking for, we are happy to help. Please use the form below and be as specific as possible in your request.

Once you have made a request

You will be notified by email when we have processed your query or request. We will primarily assist you remotely, with digital copies or low-resolution reference images.

If you need access to physical pictures or photographs, you may consult them in the Special Reading Room by arrangement with the staff.

Please note that extensive searches of, for example, portraits of with several different people, can be extra time-consuming.
