HTML and Style Sheets
This website is structured according to Web standards. XHTML 1.0 Transitional was used to structure the contents and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) 2.1 to control how the contents are presented.
We use Unicode (UTF-8) as the character standard.
The website is optimized for viewing with a modern browser that supports the standards listed above. Older browser versions will work, but the design may be affected.
The website can be viewed with the look and layout intact with the following browsers:

- Internet Explorer 7+
- Mozilla Firefox 1+
- Opera 9+
- Netscape 7+.
Mac
- Safari 2.0
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0.

The site is optimized for 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. You may use a lower resolution, but will have to use the scrollbars to see as much of each web page.
To change the screen resolution on your computer:
Select Control Panel (on the Start/Settings menu) and click Display. Select the Settings tab, then select the resolution under Screen Resolution.
Javascript must be enabled in your browser to use the following site functions:
- Printing the page via the print icon (use the browser’s print function if javascript is disabled)
- Saving your settings on the Customize page
- Using the Search Function via the Search page (you can still use the search box at the top of the page)
- Subscriptions
- Forms
There are also an integrated application on the site that also require javascript:
Settings
Javascript is usally pre-installed in the browser. If not, you can configure it as follows:
Internet Explorer
- Click “Tools” on the menu row
- Select “Internet Options”
- Click the “Security” tab
- Click the “Internet” icon and then the “Custom level...” button
- Look for the heading “Active scripting” and select “Enable”
- Click “OK”.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click “Tools” on the menu row
- Select “Settings”
- Click “Advanced”.
Display of pictures that can be zoomed (Digital Colletions and Codex Gigas) require the Flash Plug-in.
