Annual report on open access in SwedenAs part of the government assignment to coordinate, monitor and promote cooperation in the work on open access to scholarly publications, the National Library of Sweden (Kungliga biblioteket, KB) today publishes a report that highlights the development of open access in Sweden.
Costs of scholary publishing 2022The National Library monitors Swedish higher education institutions’ expenditures for scholarly literature and open access publishing in Sweden. For 2022, expenses amounted to SEK 738 million, which is an increase of 3.7% from the previous year.
Open Science conference 16–17 May 2023In May, Sweden will organise "Open Science – from Policy to Practice", a conference highlighting different perspectives of shaping, implementing and embedding Open Science in and beyond the European Union.
The National Library has been tasked with developing national guidelines for open scienceThe Swedish government has commissioned the National Library of Sweden (Kungliga biblioteket) to develop national guidelines for open science. This assignment includes collaborating with the Swedish Research Council, universities and university colleges as well as other concerned organisations. A report on the assignment will be submitted to the government on 15 September 2023.
