The Main Desk and Expeditions

At the main desk you can get information about our opening hours, exhibitions, special programs and security rules. The staff at the expeditions will provide information about library cards, loans, copies and how to seek information about the collections. You may also get help making reservations and interlibrary loans.

Legal Deposit

Providing legal deposit copies to The National Library has been enacted in the Swedish law since 1661. The copies are kept at the National Library and six other university libraries.

Standard serial numbers

Using the Standard serial numbers (ISSN, ISBN, ISMN and URN:NBN) is not enacted in the law. The Swedish ISBN Agency assigns identifiers to publishing houses and other publishing entities. ISSN Sweden catalogs resources that have been assigned an ISSN in LIBRIS.
