Printed Music

The music collection is made up mainly of sheet music and printed music. The items cannot be borrowed, but you may read them in the Special Reading Room. You may make photocopies for research purposes.

Searching

Search for printed music in LIBRIS (1986 to the present). Sheet music cataloged before 1986 is found in an older sheaf catalog, which is not open to the public. A minor portion of the material is found in the regular catalogs of Swedish publications.

Requests

Request printed music via Regina or at the Information and Circulation Desk. You must have a library card and ID. Fill out a form for Reading Room loans and specify the composer, title, and publication period. A call number should be given for newer printed music holdings entered in LIBRIS. Our employees can provide the call number for older holdings.

We are cataloging older sheet music retroactively. One example are pop/dance music songs from the 1940s to the 1960s, which are cataloged in LIBRIS.
