Pictures in Our Collections
The National Library collection contains more than 1.5 million pictures. The collection ranges from the late 15th century to the present day and has come to the library through legal deposits, donations, and purchases.
The collection categories are portraits, historical prints, and topographical views: engravings, photographs, postcards, architectural drawings, ex-libris, prints used to decorate the insides of chests, silhouettes, printed wall hangings, and a number of special collections.
