One million scanned pages.

Digidaily digitizes Swedish newspapers.

The project Digidaily aims at digitizing the entire collection of the two major Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet. This will amount to 2.8 million pages. During the autumn of 2012 the project will look into possible interfaces for displaying the material publicly. Legislation on copyright and data protection will however be obstacles to making all material available on the Internet.

Digidaily is a project where the National Library, the National Archives and the Mid Sweden University together develop methods and processes for newspaper digitization. The project runs til March 2013 and is to a great extent financed by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
